The refuge is in the commune of Champéry at the bottom of the Vallée d'Illiez. It is on a mountain pasture facing the Ruan glacier, with no cars and no electricity. It lies between the Dents-du-Midi tour (Switzerland) and the Dents Blanches tour (Franco-Swiss). Wood-fired cooking, local produce from the Vallée d'Illiez.
